LAMPUNG - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit is targeting the establishment of 409 National Police Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) throughout Indonesia, in order to fully support President Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
This was conveyed after carrying out the Groundbreaking of 20 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) within the Lampung Regional Police, Monday (28/7/2025).
"We hope to have built at least 409 SPPGs by the end of 2025. Hopefully, we can have more," said Sigit.
The Indonesian National Police currently has 359 SPPGs. Of these, 23 are operational, 32 are in operational preparation, 140 are under construction, and 164 are in the groundbreaking stage.
Once fully operational, it is projected to benefit 1,256,500 people and create jobs for 17,950 people.
Sigit revealed that initially, the National Police targeted building 100 SPPGs in 2025. However, Sigit said, during the 79th Bhayangkara Day celebrations on July 1, 2025, the number had already exceeded the target.
"However, on Bhayangkara Day yesterday, we informed the President that our number had increased to 139 SPPGs. So, I'm hoping to reach 200 by the end of this year," Sigit said.
After reporting directly to President Prabowo at the time, Sigit stated that three weeks after Bhayangkara Day, the number of SPPGs for the Indonesian National Police (Polri) had reached 359. Therefore, the target for this year is 409 free nutritious food kitchens provided by the Indonesian National Police.
"We're doing all this to support the successful implementation of the MBG program. The program can be accessed by beneficiaries ranging from pregnant women to elementary, middle, and even high school students," Sigit explained.
"And of course, this is part of our collective effort to prepare human resources with sufficient nutritional quality to face the demographic bonus momentum towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045," Sigit added, concluding.
